In the most recent list released, businesses selling pork under the label "beef" were identified. Among the provinces where pork is most commonly sold, Antalya and Konya are at the top. The ministry's lists published on its official website since October 2, 2024, highlight fraud in meat products. Inspections revealed that some businesses used the label "beef" while serving pork to consumers.

FAMOUS BRANDS ARE INCLUDED

According to the Ministry's announcement, some well-known brands are among those carrying out these fraudulent sales. This situation, which threatens public health, has generated significant public outrage, and calls for increased inspections are growing. According to the list published under the heading "Foods that Threaten Health," pork was detected in seven different businesses across Turkey. The distribution of these businesses by province is as follows:

Bursa: 2 businesses

Konya: 2 businesses

Antalya: 1 business

Muğla: 1 business

Balıkesir: 1 business

According to the data, Konya and Bursa lead in the number of businesses where pork was detected. They are followed by Antalya, Muğla, and Balıkesir. Experts warn that consumers should pay particular attention to label information and purchase from reliable sources.
