Snatch Theft Gang Busted in Alanya

Snatch Theft Operation in Alanya: 2 Suspects Caught
Two suspects who targeted foreign tourists in Alanya by pretending to offer help at ATMs and stealing their bank cards were caught within 24 hours thanks to the meticulous work of the police.
According to the Alanya District Police Department, the suspects — one of them a minor — approached tourists in the Damlataş, Kleopatra, Mola Junction, and Yalı Taxi Stand areas, obtained their card PINs under the pretext of helping, and then stole their credit cards. They were captured on Atatürk Street within a day.
Cash and POS devices seized at their homes
During searches at the suspects’ residences, police seized numerous bank and credit cards, 2 POS devices, and large amounts of Turkish lira, euros, and U.S. dollars.
The suspects were referred to court. While M.B. (the minor) was released, Ö.İ. was arrested for “snatch theft” and sent to Alanya L-Type Closed Prison.
