Signatures Signed for the Faculty of Forestry and KYK Dormitory in Akseki at ALKU

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) signed a protocol for an 18-acre land donated by philanthropist Vehbi Güleç for the establishment of the Faculty of Forestry and KYK dormitory in Akseki district.
The signing ceremony took place at Akseki Vocational School and was conducted between ALKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan and philanthropist Vehbi Güleç. The event was attended by Akseki District Governor Saliha Karataş, Akseki Mayor İlkay Akca, Representative of Akseki Education Hayratı Association Mürşit Pişkin, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karahan, MYO Director Lecturer Recep Baltacı, Municipal Council Member Erdoğan Erdoğan, and President of Education and Students Aid Association Hakkı Uğur Gündoğdu.

Rector Türkdoğan stated that the faculty to be established will specialize in areas such as natural resource management, ecotourism, forestry, and biodiversity. He also emphasized that research and practical studies on regional forest species will be conducted.
Philanthropist Vehbi Güleç expressed his heartfelt attachment to Akseki and stated that he believes the establishment of the Faculty of Forestry and KYK dormitory will make Akseki a model region in Turkey and the scientific world in this field.
