Alanya lagged behind in housing sales.

Due to restrictions targeting foreigners, Alanya was unable to benefit from the record increase in housing sales, leaving a surplus of tourist properties. Nationwide, housing sales hit a record 454,145 units in the first four months of 2025. However, Alanya did not share in this growth. ALEKOD President Abdullah Tuncer stated that due to these restrictions, the housing stock in Alanya increased, and the sector fell into a bottleneck.
Tuncer said, "Foreign investors have turned their attention to other countries. A tourism paradise like Alanya should not be deprived of this interest." He also emphasized that Turkish citizens purchased $561 million worth of real estate abroad in the first three months of 2025, disrupting the balance of housing sales.
