Inspections Start in Alanya: Homeowners Will Also Be Penalized

The Ministry of Trade is launching strict monitoring with new penalty regulations that also include homeowners against exorbitant housing price increases in regions like Alanya. Effective from May 30, 2025, this regulation holds not only real estate offices but also homeowners who unjustifiably raise prices directly responsible.

Penalties are increasing, Alanya under scrutiny

Previously, fines were only imposed on real estate offices (with penalties exceeding 100 million TRY for over 1,000 businesses). Now, homeowners will also be included. Fines for real estate agents have risen to 150,000 TRY, and similar levels are expected for homeowners. Rising rental and sale prices in areas like Alanya, where foreign buyer interest is high, will be closely monitored. Listings posted without authorization and excessive price increases over 80% will be scrutinized.
