A businessman who has been a shopkeeper in Alanya for 40 years, identified as Z.E., was arrested on allegations of harassing a 14-year-old girl. The incident came to light after the victim told her family about what happened, prompting them to file a complaint with the police. Following an investigation by Alanya District Police, Z.E. was detained at his workplace. After being processed at the police station, he was referred to the Alanya Courthouse, where the on-duty court ordered his arrest. He was sent to Mahmutlar Closed Prison.

After the arrest, differing opinions emerged in the neighborhood and on social media. One user claimed, “The same thing happened to me with a foreign woman. The prosecutor must be careful. It could be a setup—people can even use their children.” Another user stated, “This is a conspiracy. We, as the neighborhood, will testify if necessary. He is a helpful shopkeeper, well-known here.
