In a new bid to improve urban cleanliness and order, the Metropolitan Municipality of Denizli is implementing strict measures. From now on, those disposing of litter or cigarette butts in public areas, placing waste outside designated times, or blocking pedestrian sidewalks will face legal consequences under the Misdemeanours Law (Kabahatler Kanunu).
Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu said: “Starting today, our inspection teams embark on a new journey for the city’s cleanliness and the rights of pedestrians to unobstructed sidewalks.”
The initiative aims to intensify monitoring and instill a lasting culture of public cleanliness.
