Turkey to hike holiday prices next year by 5-8% says industry

Turkey’s hotel industry expects holiday prices to rise by 5-8% in 2025, according to the POYD president Hakan Saatçıoğlu via Profi.Travel
The increase is attributed primarily to rising labour costs amid a staffing shortage in the tourism sector, with hoteliers anticipating they will need to retain more staff even in off-season. Some analysts warn that while 5-8% might seem modest, given previous large increases, the impact will be significant for inbound tourists, especially from Russia.
They also caution that Turkey’s competitive edge as a budget destination could be eroded if price rises exceed key rivals.
