Fingerprint Required for IBAN Transfers Under New Biometric Rules
17 November / Haberler.com

Under a new regulation, IBAN transfers will require biometric authentication to enhance security. As part of the 11th Judicial Package submitted to Parliament and expected to become law in December, high-value transfers will demand confirmation of identity using voice recognition, fingerprint, facial and eye scanning.
Additionally, banks will introduce card chips that support face and fingerprint identification, and electronic identity verification chips will be more widely used.
The measures are aimed at preventing fraud, especially targeting older users.
