VEHICLE STOPPED ON THE ROAD CAUSED THE ACCIDENT

The accident occurred on the Antalya-Alanya D-400 highway. According to the information obtained, a tourist minibus with license plate 07 BIV 049, driven by Gökhan Bircan, was traveling from Antalya towards Alanya when it rear-ended a truck with license plate 07 LSH 20, driven by Mehmet Savaş, who had stopped on the right side of the road to close an opened rear tarpaulin cover at the Sorgun Bus Station Overpass junction. To avoid crashing into the truck, the minibus driver swerved the steering wheel but ended up hitting the right rear side of an intercity bus with license plate 34 SPT 09, driven by Hakan Danış, which was traveling in the same direction. The minibus finally came to a stop after crashing into the right front section of a tour bus with license plate 07 AFK 420, driven by Mustafa Badıllı.

GUIDE WOMAN DIED IN THE HOSPITAL

In the accident, the guide Dilek Duran, who was in the tourist minibus, as well as Mehmet Savaş, the driver of the truck with license plate 07 LSH 20, and the truck passengers, Syrian nationals Abdullah Isa and Muhammad Isa, were injured. The injured, including Dilek Duran, Mehmet Savaş, Abdullah Isa, and Muhammad Isa, were taken to hospitals in Manavgat after first aid was provided at the scene. Despite all medical interventions, Dilek Duran, who was taken to Manavgat State Hospital, could not be saved and passed away.
