Increased Nosebleeds Due to Hot Weather in Alanya
During the summer months, there has been an increase in nosebleeds due to hot weather. Alanya District Health Director Nadir Aldemir explained that in dry conditions, capillaries may rupture, leading to nosebleeds.
Nosebleeds can occur in people of all ages in almost every season, and there can be thousands of underlying causes. While these cases can sometimes be simple bleeds, they can also be indicators of underlying health issues, especially during the summer months when the frequency increases. According to Alanya District Health Director Nadir Aldemir, nosebleeds in the summer can be caused by various factors such as dry air, dehydration, allergies, and excessive heat.
CONSULT A SPECIALIST
Aldemir stated, “In the summer, bleeds are mostly due to dryness caused by the hot weather. The dryness can lead to cracks in the capillaries, triggering bleeding. Especially in children or the elderly, short-term and mild nosebleeds can sometimes lead to serious health issues. If nosebleeds occur frequently, it is advisable to consult a specialist.”
