Horrific accident in Alanya: Driver and pedestrian killed

The accident occurred yesterday around 10:00 PM on Atatürk Boulevard in the Kızlarpınarı neighborhood. The motorcycle, with license plate 07 BED 506 and driven by 18-year-old Yağız Kömsöken, collided with 40-year-old Olha Kornutiak, who was crossing the road using the pedestrian crossing. The impact caused both the Ukrainian woman and the motorcyclist to be dragged several meters, resulting in severe injuries.
Two people died. Emergency and police teams were dispatched to the scene following the report. After initial treatment at the scene, Olha Kornutiak and Yağız Kömsöken were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all medical interventions, both victims could not be saved. The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
