Reminder for License Renewal in Alanya

Alanya District Population Director Mustafa Karlıbaş issued a warning to those who have not renewed their old driver’s licenses. Karlıbaş reminded that the deadline is December 31, 2024, and advised drivers to apply early to avoid potential congestion.
The deadline for the use of old driver’s licenses, which was planned to end in 2022, has been extended to December 31, 2024. Mustafa Karlıbaş warned drivers in Alanya who have not changed their licenses. Karlıbaş advised citizens to apply early to avoid problems caused by a rush of applications in the last months of the year. Those wishing to renew their driver’s licenses can make an appointment through the Alo 199 Call Center, mobile app, or the "nvi.gov.tr" website, complete the necessary documents, and apply at the population offices. New driver’s licenses are printed by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs and delivered to addresses via PTT. During this period, it is possible to use a temporary driver’s license obtained from population offices or through e-Devlet. Citizens who do not renew their licenses will face a fine of 13,000 TL if they drive with their old licenses.
“DON’T LEAVE IT TO THE LAST MINUTE”
Mustafa Karlıbaş stated: “Old driver’s licenses can be renewed until December 31, 2024, for a total of 15 TL, which includes a 13 TL paper fee and a 2 TL foundation fee. Starting January 1, 2025, those wishing to renew their licenses will have to pay the full driver’s license fee, paper fee, and foundation fee. Drivers should not leave their applications until the last day.”
