There have been important developments regarding the increase in the number of provinces in Turkey. This long-discussed topic has recently gained renewed attention. Efforts to make certain districts of major cities into provinces have accelerated.

According to a report prepared by TÜİK, Alanya is one of the 10 districts that meet the specified criteria and is experiencing excitement about the potential for the number 82 license plate. Among these districts, significant centers such as Silivri in Istanbul, Çorlu in Tekirdağ, İnegöl in Bursa, and Aliağa in İzmir are also included.
