Operation in Alanya: Illegal Ammunition Seized

A large-scale operation conducted in Antalya resulted in the seizure of illegal cigarettes, alcohol, weapons, and many other contraband items.

Teams from the Antalya Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Division carried out simultaneous operations in five districts, including Alanya. During the operation, a significant amount of illegal cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol, watches, and other contraband goods were seized. Additionally, two pistols and ammunition were also confiscated.

As part of the operation, 10 suspects were detained and handed over to the judicial authorities. The market value of the seized contraband items is estimated to be quite high.

This successful operation dealt a major blow to smuggling activities in Antalya. The determination of the law enforcement agencies in combating smuggling has once again been demonstrated.
