Present Across Turkey, Missing in Alanya: The City’s Major Need

Alanya Youth Council Targets Transportation Issues: From Rail Systems to Smart Parking Solutions
The Alanya Youth Council’s Strategic Workshop, held on April 27, 2025, has released its final report addressing one of the city’s most pressing problems: transportation. Young participants highlighted the lack of system integration, security concerns, insufficient digitalization, and the absence of alternative modes of transport. Proposed solutions include a tram line (ALRAY), coastal ferry services, smart parking systems, real-time transport apps, accessible vehicles for people with disabilities, and eco-friendly models such as electric buses and bike-sharing. Emphasizing that “transportation is a social right,” the council underlined that the report serves as a roadmap for local authorities to prepare for Alanya’s growing population and tourism demand.
