A strange incident at TOKİ Housing in Alanya: Do they see low-income residents as ATMs?

Residents of TOKİ Housing in Mahmutlar, Alanya, including low-income citizens, veterans, relatives of martyrs, and disabled individuals, express their grievances due to high maintenance fees and irregularities in management.

Residents who moved into their homes last month report being forced to pay high monthly fees of 2,000 TL according to decisions made by the management board. Additionally, there is significant backlash regarding the high salaries of board members, block representatives, and auditors, who are also exempt from paying maintenance fees.

According to the claims of the TOKİ residents:

Management board members receive a monthly salary of 25,000 TL.

Block representatives receive 5,000 TL, and auditors receive 6,000 TL.

Management board members are exempt from maintenance fees.

There is uncertainty about how the collected fees are spent.

Management decisions are not shared transparently.

There is no response to the complaints of the residents.

Residents, citing their inability to hold board meetings due to TOKİ ownership, have submitted a petition with 150 signatures to the authorities. This situation once again brings to light the management issues in TOKİ projects.
