Alanya-GZP to be Expanded: Minister Uraloğlu Announced

Minister Uraloğlu announced that the Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport Development Project will increase passenger and flight capacity. Minister Uraloğlu stated, "We will expand the current terminal building by 2,648 square meters to provide services to passengers in an area of 9,067 square meters."
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made statements about the Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport Development Project. He noted that the expansion of existing facilities will increase both passenger and flight capacity, adding, "We have taken action to expand Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport in line with the needs of the tourism sector and the region. With the project, we will both enlarge the airport’s physical structure and offer more comfortable and modern services to our passengers."
EXISTING TERMINAL BUILDING TO BE EXPANDED BY 2,648 SQUARE METERS
Minister Uraloğlu reminded that Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport, which was opened in 2009, has a passenger capacity of 1.5 million annually, saying, "Taking into account the increasing passenger and flight traffic each year, we are working on projects to increase the airport's capacity. We will expand the existing 6,419 square meter terminal building by an additional 2,648 square meters, providing services to passengers over a total area of 9,067 square meters."
NEW TECHNICAL BLOCK AND VIP BUILDING TO BE CONSTRUCTED
Minister Uraloğlu also announced that a new technical block of 650 square meters and a 585 square meter VIP area will be constructed, stating, "A new open car park with a capacity of 169 vehicles will also be built. These investments will allow us to improve both the physical infrastructure of our airport and the quality of services provided to passengers."
LEADING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
Minister Uraloğlu highlighted the efforts of Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport in environmental sustainability: "In 2022, our airport received the Level 1 Carbon Emission Certificate as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program by the Airports Council International. We continue to take environmentally friendly steps as part of the Carbon-Free Airport Project. Gazipaşa Alanya Airport is one of our airports leading in environmental sustainability."
