Süleyman Sevinç, who murdered his own mother in Alanya, appeared before the judge at the trial held in the 1st High Criminal Court. The incident occurred in Alanya on May 3, 2023. Neighbors of Fatma Sevinç, who lived on the second floor of an apartment building on Kaptanoğlu Street in the Hacet neighborhood, reported to the police that they had not heard from her. When the police opened the door with the help of a locksmith, they found Fatma Sevinç’s lifeless body wrapped in a blanket in a wardrobe. SPENT ONE DAY IN THE SAME HOUSE AFTER KILLING HIS MOTHER

Süleyman S. explained that the arguments escalated on the day of the incident: "The last time I was with my mother, Fatma Sevinç, was around 00:30-01:30 on May 2. My mother began to say insulting words about my ex-wife. During this time, she slapped me a few times in the face. Then she took a kitchen knife from the kitchen and came to the entrance of my room, swinging the knife at me, saying, ‘Either you or I.’ At that moment, when I tried to take the knife from her, she bit my hand. After taking the knife, I lost consciousness. I swung the knife at my mother’s neck several times. I don't remember how many times I struck her. After my mother fell to the ground, I put her in the wardrobe in my room and covered her with a blanket. Then I cleaned up the place. I don't remember where I put the knife used in the incident. I stayed at home that night. In the morning, I called a car rental company and rented a vehicle. The rental company brought the car to my residence around 19:00 on May 2. I went outside to get the keys to the car. Then I set off for Antalya. I deeply regret killing my mother. I accept the charges against me in this regard,” he said. After the procedures at the Alanya District Police Department, murder suspect Süleyman S. was arrested by the Criminal Court of Peace and sent to the Alanya L-Type Closed Prison.
