Extension for Driver's License Renewal

The deadline for renewing driver's licenses has been extended to July 31, 2025.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced the development regarding old-type driver's licenses via his social media account.

Yerlikaya stated the following: We have extended the Renewal Period for Old-Type Driver's Licenses. Pursuant to Temporary Article 10 of the Highway Traffic Regulation, the period for the renewal of old-type driver's licenses has been extended to July 31, 2025, taking into account current conditions and the needs of our citizens.

Currently, there are 5,413,148 old-type driver's licenses.

To prevent congestion at civil registration offices and health institutions that issue health reports and to allow our citizens to complete their transactions without any inconvenience, please renew your old driver's licenses by the end of the extended period.
