If this is in your car, remove it immediately: There is a very heavy fine

With only a few days left until the New Year, strict traffic inspections have begun. Drivers may face heavy fines for certain devices placed inside vehicles. The latest warning from Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya concerns millions of drivers. If this product is in your vehicle, remove it immediately! Otherwise, the fine could be quite heavy.

Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared important information on his social media account regarding the traffic inspections conducted between November 28 and December 5, 2024. Minister Yerlikaya stated that the Police and Gendarmerie teams inspected 2,803,527 vehicles during this period. As a result of the inspections, 131 drivers using illegal strobe lights (flashing lights and audible warning devices) were penalized.

HEAVY SANCTIONS WITH NEW REGULATIONS

With the recent regulation, the fine for using a strobe light has increased to up to 96,000 Turkish liras, and vehicles can be banned from traffic for one month. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that the inspections would continue decisively and called on drivers to comply with the rules, stating: "We are conducting inspections rigorously to ensure safety in traffic".

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR STROBE LIGHT USERS

During the inspections, drivers using unauthorized strobe lights not only face hefty fines but also have their vehicles banned from traffic. It has been stated that strobe lights can only be used by certain public vehicles and in situations permitted by law. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that such violations endanger traffic and cause public disturbance.

INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE WITH DETERMINATION

Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that compliance with traffic rules is critical for public safety and stated that inspections will continue. "We thank all the drivers who follow the rules and warn those who do not comply," he said.
