The requested sentence for the boxer who killed a florist with a single punch in Antalya has been determined

In Antalya, boxer Kıvanç Şensöz (31), who killed florist Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı (29) with a single punch, is facing a prison sentence of up to 25 years, as requested in the indictment.
Kıvanç Şensöz, who sells flowers on social media, shared a photo of himself with a flower bouquet on his account, alongside his foreign wife, Dara Şensöz. Firdevs Yıldırıcı, the sister of the florist Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, who worked in the same area, took a screenshot of this post and shared it on her workplace's social media account. Upon noticing the post, Kıvanç Şensöz reacted, saying, "Why are you sharing my wife’s photo? You are a thief of labor".
REPEATEDLY KICKED HIM
After the reaction, Firdevs Yıldırıcı apologized, stating that the woman’s face in the photo had been blurred and cropped by mistake. Kıvanç Şensöz wanted to meet Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı face to face, and on October 12, around 7:00 PM, he went to the flower warehouse in Kepez. There, he suddenly punched Yıldırıcı, causing him to fall to the ground. Şensöz then repeatedly kicked Yıldırıcı, and was only stopped by Yıldırıcı's uncle, Ali Okur. The health team arrived quickly and took the unconscious Yıldırıcı to the hospital. Eşref Yunus Yıldırıcı, who fell into a coma, later died. Kıvanç Şensöz was arrested and placed in jail by the court.
UP TO 25 YEARS IN PRISON REQUESTED
The indictment against Kıvanç Şensöz was accepted by the Antalya 1st High Criminal Court. The indictment requests a prison sentence for Kıvanç Şensöz of 20 to 25 years. In the investigation, it was concluded that the photos in question did not show cleavage, and the flowers were emphasized, with the image being published publicly on social media. The prosecutor requested that the "unjust provocation" provisions not apply and demanded that the defendant be tried for "intentional manslaughter".
