Easier licensing for businesses in Alanya! Application deadline will be extended

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik stated that the regulation for extending the business license application deadline will be discussed at the January 2025 City Council Meeting, with the aim of extending the deadline until March 31, 2025.

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik made an important statement due to the high demand from businesses and the difficulties business owners face in completing documentation processes as the year comes to an end. Mayor Özçelik indicated that the regulation to extend the application deadline would be discussed at the January 2025 City Council Meeting, and the plan is to extend the deadline until March 31, 2025.

"WE PLAN TO EXTEND IT UNTIL MARCH 31, 2025"

Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik stated, “According to the decision made by the City Council on October 1, 2024, businesses that were operating at the same address and in the same field before September 30, 2024, but did not meet the minimum square footage requirement, were given the opportunity to apply for a business opening and operating license until December 31, 2024, as a one-time exception. However, due to the time required to complete mandatory documents, such as the fire department report, and other correspondence with institutions, businesses have had difficulties completing their processes. We plan to take a decision at the January 2025 City Council Meeting to extend the application deadline until March 31, 2025".

If the deadline is extended, entrepreneurs will be able to complete their processes more comfortably and systematically, said Mayor Özçelik. He added that the Alanya Municipality continues to coordinate with all units to ensure that the application process is completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that necessary care is taken to prevent any inconvenience for business owners.
