The rule will continue to be applied to used cars

The "6 months and 6 thousand kilometers" condition for used car trade has been extended until July 1, 2025. While the Ministry of Trade has been granted the authority to extend the regulation for another six months, the ban on selling used cars above the manufacturer's price will also continue until the same date.
The regulation regarding the "6 months and 6 thousand kilometers" condition applied to used car trade has been extended with a new regulation published in the Official Gazette. The new regulation ensures that the condition will remain in place until July 1, 2025. The Ministry of Trade has also been given the authority to extend this period for up to another six months.
Under the regulation published in the Official Gazette, which amends the Regulation on the Trade of Motor Vehicles, those engaged in used motor vehicle trade must ensure that motorcycles, cars, and off-road vehicles have been registered for at least six months and have covered 6 thousand kilometers from the initial registration date. This rule will remain in place until July 1, 2025.
In this context, it will also be prohibited to advertise used cars at prices exceeding the current sales prices set by the manufacturer or distributor until July 1, 2025.
AUTHORITY TO EXTEND TO THE MINISTRY OF TRADE
The Ministry of Trade has been granted the authority to extend the duration of the regulation for up to six months. This authority could potentially allow the regulation to be applied until 2026 if necessary.
