It was revealed that during the fire, Şahin, who worked as a waitress at the hotel, made a video call to her father, Erdal Şahin, and decided to jump while speaking with him.

Şevval Şahin, a resident of Bartın, began working as a waitress at the Grand Kartal Hotel, where 76 people lost their lives in yesterday's fire, 1.5 months ago. During the fire, Şahin was on the staff floor and jumped out of the 12th-floor window, sustaining severe injuries. She is being treated in the intensive care unit of the Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital.

It was learned that during the fire, Şahin made a video call to her father, Erdal Şahin, who is a tradesman in Bartın. She made the decision to jump out of the window while speaking with her father on the phone.
