Explosion in Coal Mine in Sivas' Zara District: 1 Dead, 2 Injured

An explosion occurred for an unknown reason at an open coal mine in the Yanık Mezrası area of Kardere village, located in the Zara district of Sivas.

Upon notification, medical teams, UMKE (National Medical Rescue Team), firefighters, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), and gendarmerie units were dispatched to the scene. One person died at the scene, and two others were injured and taken to hospitals for treatment. The fire that broke out after the explosion has been brought under control.
