First Direct Flight from Astana to Gazipaşa-Alanya Welcomed with Ceremony

The first direct flight from Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to Gazipaşa-Alanya by FlyArystan was welcomed with a special ceremony at Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. A water salute was held for the Airbus A320 aircraft carrying 175 passengers, and the arriving travelers were greeted with flowers. A cake decorated with the flight route was also cut during the celebration.

The inaugural direct flight, aimed at strengthening tourism and friendly relations between the two countries, landed at 15:20 local time. A traditional water salute took place on the apron, and passengers were welcomed with flowers and local treats. Some staff wore traditional Kazakh attire, adding color to the event.

OFFICIALS FROM BOTH COUNTRIES ATTENDED

Among the attendees were Gazipaşa District Governor Selami Korkutata, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Turkey Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Kazakhstan’s Consul General in Antalya Kuat Kanafeyev, Deputy Mayors of Gazipaşa Adem Kaya and Selçuk Özdemir, Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) President Eray Erdem, representatives from ALTAV and ALTID, and airport managers. The officials shook hands with the arriving passengers, warmly welcoming them.
