Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil has passed away.

Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil, selected as the "Best Brain Surgeon of the Century" for his unparalleled work in the field, has died at the age of 100. Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil, honored with the title "Best Brain Surgeon of the Century," passed away at the age of 100. Minister Memişoğlu stated, “I learned with great sorrow of the passing of our esteemed Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil, who was named the 'Best Brain Surgeon of the Century' for his extraordinary contributions. Throughout his nearly century-long life dedicated to science, he accomplished numerous works that stand as examples for all of us. We will do everything in our power to honor his memory. May his soul rest in paradise and his rank be exalted.”
