BREAKING NEWS! Three young men from Alanya accused of murder, boat owner dead

A dispute aboard a docked boat in the Marmaris district of Muğla ended with the death of 24-year-old boat owner Arda Deniz Onat. Three suspects from Alanya have been taken into custody and referred to court.
The incident occurred on a boat named "E. Arda Deniz" in the Bozburun neighborhood of Marmaris. Three Swedish women who rented the boat invited three Turkish male friends from Alanya. Allegedly, when the boat exceeded its passenger capacity, a dispute broke out between the boat owner Arda Deniz Onat, his father Kenan Onat, and the guests.
During the argument, after the guests allegedly began swearing, Onat responded by asking, “Why are you swearing?” It is claimed that he was then struck on the head with an iron rod. Onat fell into the sea due to the blow and was pulled out unconscious by his father, but despite all medical efforts, he could not be saved.
The Marmaris Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation. The three suspects—identified as S.Y., S.Y., and C.V.C. and known to be from Alanya—were detained after receiving medical treatment and taken to court under the escort of the Coast Guard. It was reported that nearby citizens reacted strongly to the suspects.
Arda Deniz Onat, who lost his life, was said to be a well-liked young man in Bozburun and had been working on the boat with his father for a long time. He will be buried in the Bozburun neighborhood.
