Breaking News! Hospital Crisis in Alanya Continues!

Ongoing problems in Alanya’s healthcare system have led to public outrage. Citizens say they cannot get appointments at Alanya Training and Research Hospital and that the lack of doctors and staff prevents them from receiving adequate care.

"There is a hospital, but no service"

Serpil Arıkan: “We are not satisfied with hospitals in Alanya. Attention and cleanliness are lacking. Appointments are very hard to get. A new hospital is necessary. I live in Okurcalar – there should be a hospital there too. Transportation is very hard without a car.”

"Not one, but two more hospitals are needed"

Ahmet Tayyar: “Alanya is growing fast and constantly receiving migration. One new hospital is not enough; two may barely suffice. The hospital in Payallar still isn’t open, and it’s far away. We need another hospital in the center.”

"Appointments are given 2–3 months later"

Özge Erdoğan: “The hospital is good but insufficient. We are constantly referred to Antalya. Assistants handle patients instead of doctors. Appointments are scheduled 2–3 months later. Transportation is also a big issue. The Payallar hospital should open as soon as possible.”

"Inadequate service at the hospital"

Esma Dervişoğlu: “I went to the hospital after falling from a height. The doctor said it was just muscle pain and sent me away. Doctors are indifferent. It takes at least 15 days to get an appointment. A hospital should also be built in Mahmutlar.”

"Lack of doctors, very indifferent staff"

Emine Tekdemir: “Appointments in departments like dermatology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine are almost impossible to get. Staff are not friendly and not helpful. The hospital may be physically sufficient, but the number of doctors is inadequate.”

"We literally wait in ambush for an empty stretcher"

Elif Turhanoğlu: “It’s very crowded in some areas of the hospital. It’s hard to even find an empty stretcher. The crowd causes serious problems.”

"A new hospital is absolutely necessary for Alanya"

Mehmet Çetiner: “We can usually get appointments, but people from other towns and cities also come here, overloading the system. A new hospital is essential.”
