Another Blow to Tenants in Alanya from the Municipality: Fees Announced

Property values announced by the municipality in Alanya have risen up to 4 times in some areas. Significant increases in property taxes and rents are expected.
PROPERTY VALUES POSTED IN ALANYA
Property values used for calculating real estate taxes have been posted by the municipality. While some areas saw increases of around 30%, others rose by 2 to 4 times. This directly affects both homeowners and business owners.
CALL FROM MÜTBİR TO CITIZENS
Mustafa Küçüker, President of the Alanya Contractors Association (MÜTBİR), urged citizens to review the posted lists, saying: “The property value lists, determined street by street, are now on display. Citizens must check them carefully and file objections if necessary.”
PROPERTY TAXES MAY INCREASE 3-4 TIMES
Experts warn that these increases will directly reflect on annual property taxes. A citizen currently paying 1,000 lira in property tax may have to pay 3,000–4,000 lira next year. Increases are also expected in title deed fees and luxury property taxes.
WILL IT AFFECT RENT?
Rising values may also push rents higher. Experts expect an additional 20–30% increase, especially in commercial property rents.
WHAT SHOULD CITIZENS DO?
Citizens are advised to review the announced property value lists and exercise their right to object in case of errors.
