Minimum wage hike becomes clearer: expected figures revealed

Projections for the 2026 minimum wage increase are becoming clearer. Experts suggest a 20–30% raise, with the net minimum wage likely falling between 26,500 and 30,000 TL.

Economist Murat Bal predicts that, based on targeted inflation, the wage could reach around 28,500 TL, noting that past increases typically exceeded inflation by 5–10 points.

Analysts also warn that the hike will influence not only official wages, but pensions, social benefits, and the purchasing power of salaried workers.
