“Tax Shameless” Exposed in Alanya: Those Owing over 5 Million TL to Be Listed

Turkey’s Ministry of Finance is preparing to publish a list of individuals and businesses with significant unpaid taxes — those dubbed “vergi yüzsüzleri” (tax shameless).

Officials say that each tax office will post names of debtors whose liabilities exceed 5 million Turkish lira. In Alanya, the lists will be displayed in tax offices from December 1 to 15, 2025, and subsequently from December 16 to 30 on the Revenue Administration’s website.

Those wanting to avoid inclusion will have until the end of November to settle their debts. Last year, similar disclosures involved 80–100 companies in Alanya.

The initiative aims to boost tax compliance and exert public pressure on persistent debtors who have ignored state obligations.
