Mass Arrival in Alanya: 1,798 British Tourists Arrive Aboard Cruise Ship

This morning the cruise ship Marella Discovery 2 docked at Alanya Port carrying 1,798 tourists and 723 crew members, most of whom are British nationals.

The Bahamas-flagged vessel, 265 meters in length, departed from Rhodes. After clearing customs, the passengers dispersed across the city: many opted for guided tours of historical and tourist sites, while others strolled through the city center and shopped.

The ship is expected to depart around 18:00, setting sail toward Limassol, Cyprus.

Such a large cruise arrival is significant for local tourism — it triggers a day-long influx of visitors supporting local businesses, tours, and hospitality services.
