IMEI Registration Fee to Soar to 57,000 TL in Alanya and Across Turkey

Starting January 1 2026, the fee for registering the IMEI number of a mobile phone imported into Turkey will rise to 57,241 TL, according to the latest annual adjustment mechanism.

This means that users in the Alanya region and elsewhere in Turkey who plan to bring or use phones bought abroad will face significantly higher costs.

The increase is driven by the 2026 “Re-evaluation Rate” (Yeniden Değerleme Oranı) set at 25.49 %.

Industry watchers say the amount makes importing or using foreign phones far less economical, prompting users to seek alternatives.

It’s also noted that the new fee applies only to registrations initiated after the change becomes effective; previously registered devices will not be subject to the new rate.
