In the 2019 Antalya local elections, CHP candidate Muhittin Böcek came first with 50.63 percent of the votes, leaving his closest rival, Justice and Development Party's candidate Menderes Tünel, behind. In 2019, the People's Alliance won in 7 districts in Antalya, while the Nation's Alliance won in 9 districts.
In the 2024 Antalya local elections, the result changed dramatically. According to the unofficial results of the March 31 Local Government General Elections in Antalya, the current mayor, CHP's Muhittin Böcek, was elected as the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor with 48.60 percent of the votes. In the mayoralties in 19 districts, CHP won 15 mayoralties, AK Party won 3, and DP won 1 mayoralty.
