NASA launches its first planetary defense exercise

The U.S. space agency NASA has initiated its first large-scale planetary defense exercise, aimed at preparing for potential asteroid impact threats to Earth.
The exercise brings together national and international agencies to simulate detection, coordination, and deflection of threatening near-Earth objects.
According to NASA, the goal is to test planetary readiness in the event of an asteroid strike and to evaluate how response systems would cope.
