At the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality ASAT General Assembly, a decision was made to increase the water price. With the decision, the unit price of residential water, which was 1.83 TL for up to 5 cubic meters, was increased by 446 percent to 10 TL.

In the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality ASAT General Assembly, 5 agenda items were discussed. Among the agenda items, due to reasons such as preventing water waste, increasing water consumption, and the high amount of investments made alongside the 38-50% increase in electricity prices by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, the proposal of the Customer Affairs Department Head to update the 2024 Water Tariff Tables was approved by a majority vote. The decision was opposed by the AK Party group. The unit price of water for residences, up to 5 cubic meters, was increased from 1.83 TL to 10 TL. The price of 06-20 cubic meters of water, which was 20.47 TL, remained the same, while the unit price for over 20 cubic meters, which was 33.56 TL, was changed to 50.34 TL for 21-40 cubic meters. For over 40 cubic meters, the price was set at 71.93 TL. It was observed that the unit price remained the same at 20.47 TL for residences and offices up to 20 cubic meters. However, for over 20 cubic meters, the price increased by 114% from 33.56 TL to 71.93 TL. It was learned that the increase will be implemented starting from August.
