A reduction of 1 lira and 73 kuruş is expected for gasoline, effective from Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
NO EXPECTED CHANGES IN DIESEL PRICES
No changes in diesel fuel prices are expected.
CURRENT FUEL PRICES
According to current fuel pump prices, in Istanbul, the price of diesel fuel is 45.20 liras per liter, while the price of gasoline is 43.64 liras per liter on average. These prices may vary regionally and are generally higher in major cities.
HOW FUEL PRICES ARE CALCULATED
In Turkey, the prices of gasoline and diesel are calculated considering various parameters. This calculation is done by adding the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) share to the duty-free refinery price to determine the refinery sale price excluding VAT.
Duty-Free Refinery Price: This price is determined based on daily CIF Mediterranean product prices published in the Mediterranean-Italian market and the daily exchange rate of the dollar. A specific price variation is used to obtain the duty-free refinery ceiling sale price.
