In Antalya, a fire that started on a boat at the marina spread to other boats

In Kemer district of Antalya, a fire that started on a boat at the marina spread to two neighboring boats. After a quick intervention, the fire was extinguished, but one boat was completely destroyed, and two others were damaged.

The fire started around 06:00 on a commercial boat named "Hilal Ay," owned by Süleyman Aydoğmuş, for an unknown reason. Flames quickly engulfed the wooden boat, and two marina staff alerted the marina officials. Marina personnel also warned those on nearby boats to move away. At that time, the fire spread to the tents and hulls of two adjacent boats. Other boats were quickly moved away from the area. The fire was initially tackled by the marina's fire-fighting boat, and fire crews from Antalya Metropolitan Municipality were also dispatched to the scene. The teams, who arrived shortly, tackled the fire on the boat "Hilal Ay," which was completely engulfed. After the fire was extinguished, the "Hilal Ay" boat was completely destroyed, while the other two boats were damaged. During the firefighting operation, the Coast Guard and marina staff took measures to prevent water pollution. The District Coast Guard Command has launched an investigation into the fire.
