Ground Beef at 800 TL per Kilo, Bitter Comment: “Prices Won’t Go Down”

Selman Arıkan, President of the Alanya Butchers Association, stated that the rise in meat prices is not related to foot-and-mouth disease but is caused by economic fluctuations and the slowdown in tourism.

Arıkan noted that ground beef is sold between 750-800 TL per kilo, while diced meat ranges from 800-850 TL, adding, “There is no intention for prices to decrease.”
