Kayseri-Antalya: high-speed train is coming soon! The date has been set

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has started working on a high-speed train project that will connect the cities of Kayseri, Nevşehir, Aksaray, Konya, and Antalya. The travel time between Kayseri and Antalya will be reduced to 2 hours and 45 minutes.
While the Kayseri-Ankara high-speed train project, which is planned to be completed in 2027, is ongoing, the Ministry has announced a new line. Within the scope of the project, work has been accelerated for the railway line starting from Kayseri and extending to Antalya via Nevşehir, Aksaray, and Konya. Thanks to this project, the distance between Kayseri and Antalya will be reduced to 2 hours and 45 minutes. The design work for the Konya-Antalya section is already completed, while the survey work for the Nevşehir-Konya section is ongoing. This project, also announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will have a total length of 607 kilometers and consist of four main sections. The Antalya-Kayseri high-speed train line will have three main stations: Acıgöl, Nevşehir, and Avanos. The start and completion dates of the project are of great interest. The Antalya-Konya section is planned to start in 2024 and be completed in 2030. The Konya-Aksaray section is expected to be completed in 2031, while the Aksaray-Kayseri section will start in 2031 and be completed in 2037.
